I am extremely disappointed with the quality of work and customer service from Materson Painting. Travis and co-worker Johnny, assured me that the job would be done properly, but the stucco painting was incredibly messy, with paint drops left all over my driveway, sidewalks, outlets, and even the wrought iron trim. They had promised to clean everything up, but that never happened despite my repeated requests.In addition, the cracks they “repaired” have already reappeared—less than six months later—and the larger ones need to be fixed again. I chose this company partly because they offered a warranty and I do have a three year one but it has proven to be worthless and they have not returned to address any of these issues, no matter how many times I’ve reached out and with promises made to return and fix them. Never happened. Travis did schedule a clean up date made three months later because he was too busy to come out and he would loose money doing these kind of call backsI truly wish I had never used this company. They do NOT stand behind their work, and the lack of professionalism has been extremely frustrating. I cannot recommend Materson Painting to anyone.
Masterson painting did an amazing job restraining my patio cover. I liked that Travis, the owner, was out here each day making sure the job was done right.
We hired the company to finish a Venetian plaster banco in our kitchen. Travis was prompt and professional. We ended up hiring them for the banco and a painting job that included the kitchen and a hall way as well. The banco turned out well and the painting was also done fairly satisfactorily.The reason for my low rating is two-fold:1. The bottom part of a wall around some windows needed to be texturized before painting. This was not done well and it looks rough and half finished (see pictures).2. During the 4 days that Travis and an employee were at our house for the job, a number of our Dewalt tools and batteries had gone missing from a shelf in our garage. Travis and an employee used our garage to go in and out of our house and the shelf is located on the other side of the garage. Upon reviewing videos captured outside of our garage for a span of a few weeks, the employee was seen carrying out a Dewalt bag to his car. No tools were used during the plastering and painting job and I was home during the entire painting process. I talked to Travis and sent him the video and pictures of the shelf before they started the job and after. He said he talked to his employee and the employee denied taking the tools. There has been no follow up during the last few weeks. I know that I did not personally witness or have videos of the employee taking the tools from the shelf, but this is the only possible scenario we can think of. So we have lost not just $1000 of tools (below deductible of home owner's insurance), but also the sense of trust and safety in our own home.
It's refreshing to find a company that provides great work and great customer service. Travis and his crew made updating our home enjoyable. Would definitely use them again in the future and also highly recommend!
I can't say anything but amazing things about this company! They did an amazing job on our project. Travis really is a master at painter - from the moment we contacted him, the follow up, the quote and the timeliness of his work is on point. I would highly recommend anyone looking for expert painters in Albuquerque to reach out to Masterson painting for their project.
