Working with A New Leaf Painting was fantastic. We sought proposals from three major painters in the Saint Augustine area, and A New Leaf was the only one that made us feel that they could handle a substantial, non-trivial job at a very reasonable price and complete it within the time frame we needed the work done. Tom Drake (owner) was thorough in his estimating, quoting, and project scoping. He was very responsive to specific needs, some of which were clearly incorporated in the basic scope of work, and others that were handled through options to the basic scope. The company's information management system was impressive. It documented and managed contracting, project status reports, and invoicing in a clear and detailed fashion. Michael and his crew (painters) were professional, courteous, and more importantly, very competent: whether in sequencing tasks and using the crew efficiently and neatly. They also had the skills (and temperament) to tackle really hard to reach areas: a chimney a top a 2+ story house and the upper ridge of the gable ends. And they paid a lot of attention to detail: they must have spent the better part of a day going around the project looking for areas to touch up. Although they started a bit slow (seemingly because of factors outside of their control), they made up the delay by working over the weekend! Overall, this was a great experience, and we would recommend them to anyone.

I initially worked with Thomas as the consultant and person who came to my house to discuss both the interior and exterior paint projects. He was great to work with, knew his info, made great suggestions, and checked back on any questions I had before I decided to use New Leaf Painting to do the job. When the projects started I worked with Billy and his crew. They were great to work with. They were on time, professional, well mannered. They set up in the garage and I was amazed at how quickly they removed old wallpaper and prepped the rooms for painting. They checked with me to make sure I was good as I was working from home. The interior turned out great. They then tackled the outside. I needed some repair work on my chimney and we discussed additional work they found after tearing off old parts. They made sure I was ok with what needed to be done. The same thing happened by my front door. Then I wanted my front door stained but they convinced me I would be unhappy with the results so we went to plan B and painted the door the same color as the shutters and it turned out great. I had friends over Labor Day Weekend and they were impressed with how well the house looked. All the workers put in plenty of hours, were courteous, cleaned up and generally went the extra mile on my projects. I appreciated the hard work and attention to detail. Overall I was extremely satisfied with the results of both the interior and exterior paint projects. Thanks New Leaf.
