I am beyond pleased with my experience from start to finish and with every team member I had the pleasure of working with! I was initially skeptical about painting the limestone on my house — I love the look of natural stone, but mine was orangey and outdated, and I really wanted to give it a modern facelift. The transformation exceeded my expectations! The entire process was seamless, and the team was incredible — prompt, professional, patient, and so helpful every step of the way. I couldn’t be happier with the end result and will absolutely be in touch for future painting projects. Highly recommend!

I recently hired inside out painting to paint my 3rd floor dorm window area.
I knew it was going to transform the house however I didn’t expect it to look that incredible!
Who knew of all the companies I could have chosen, I ended up getting the best
Painter in the city?! A total shout out to Emersyn.
She was up and down that high level with no hesitation. Sanding scraping priming caulking and painting. She even replaced missing little wood pieces on the 120 year old window that she carved herself.

The attention to detail and the amount of work she put in was really beyond my expectations. It was as though she treated the house like it was her own. She took pride in her work and really worked hard to get it done to perfection.

Stu was the one to quote me for the job and I chose Inside out because not only was Stu super efficient on the details of the quote but it was so reasonably priced I couldn't say no.
I had a financial setback and was going to put it off another year, however Stu called me a week later and I was convinced it was the way to go.
Thank-you Stu and Emersyn for such a well job done!
Im convinced that I really couldn't have asked for a better company than Inside Out Painting to have tackled such a difficult project with such high standards.
I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone looking for the job to be done proper, efficient, and above the standard with such professionalism.
Thank-you
Patricia

I'd say my experience with InsideOut was pretty mediocre. Let's go down the list of pros and cons.

Pros:
The paint job was okay. They mudded the walls all well in the prep, so that part was great. The paint was for the most part good, but once you start to look in detail at certain spots, it feels like a lot of little things were missed for spending $7,000. But overall passable work on 90% of the house.

Pleasant experience when communicating with the sales manager Stuart. He was professional on emails, and quick to reply. It's just a shame that his professionalism didn't transfer to the paint job itself and other employees.

Cons:
Communication. We provided our initial colors and then spoke with their provided consultant. We picked all new colors with her. When the day came to start, they didn't get the new colors from her. Also she didn't communicate where the colors go, and that the ceilings were to match the walls. So communication on their side was lacking.

Cleanliness. When the job was finished we got there and the place was a bit of a mess. Not insanely, but some garbage astray and such. But the worst part was the paint on things. Drops of paint on the floor, paint on outlets, paint on window openers, etc. When I brought this up they came back and cleaned up a little, but really just mostly the garbage. Still paint on floor, outlets, etc.

Small details. Above where I said the paint job was passable, well the 10% that wasn't passable was annoying. They painted one of the baseboards that we took off on a plastic sheet which made it difficult to get a clean line since the paint binded to both. They didn't paint low enough on the wall where the baseboard goes. They painted too high in a certain area with the baseboard color. And then refer to earlier where I talk about paint on outlets, etc.

Overall, my experience with InsideOut painting was meh. Hard to say if I'm being picky but when I spend $7,000 I expect a certain degree of accuracy. Stuart who I mostly dealt with was very pleasant, no complaints in terms of the actual customer interaction experience. Just feel like the job and experience was a little lackluster. They were apologetic in the emails, but even just the experience of having to be the naggy customer asking for the ceiling to be fixed, garbage to be cleaned, etc isn't a fun experience. At a certain point I just gave up and decided to fix the small stuff myself rather than email them over and over again about it.

Edit: In their reply they asked me to reach out for some sort of resolution, unfortunately when I did they did not get back to me for over a week and said that there was no resolution that could be reached since I already fixed their mistakes myself. Appears their reply was just for show, changing to 2 stars. Also since they were so flippant in dismissing me I am attaching some photos of their mistakes. Paint on fixtures, thin paint by fixtures, thin paint in general, and horrible job by the baseboards.

I went with Inside Out after reading all the positive reviews and am so glad I did. We had all the exterior wood trim on our older house painted, including a porch wall, and couldn't be happier. From Stuart coming to give the estimate to the folks in the office coordinating the job around our schedule to the actual painting by Danny, everyone was professional, reliable, courteous, and went above and beyond. Danny in particular was a true professional and took great care with sanding and prepping the surfaces and then painting the primer and two coats, plus he cleaned up the site every day and worked for long hours to get it done! When we realized the paint wasn't the exact colour we wanted, Nigel came quickly to confirm he would correct the colour and delivered it asap so the work could continue. And the price was great. Will definitely be going with Inside Out in the future for all our paint jobs.

InsideOut wasn’t sure if the warm weather would hold for the outside paint job. It was warm enough but started to rain. The painter continued to work, in the breaks from rain and sheltered in my gazebo. I asked if he wanted to come in but he said he was enjoying the fresh air. I brought him a coffee and he hung in there until all the painting was done. They are a great group and obviously know their stuff. The trim on the front door had to be redone as well as the attic frame.
